The Christian work seems to go on no matter the plight of the people. The pastors we are in contact with travel many miles mostly by foot to share the Gospel and to lift up the family of God, oftentimes traveling through areas known to have lion populations and other dangerous animals. It is so refreshing to see the passion these pastors have for the Gospel and for their people. It would remind you of a first-century setting. It is our great blessing to help them when we can. If you want help support the Zimbabwean minister you can give online here on our website. Just be sure that your donation is clearly marked for Zimbabwe. DONATE |
If you travel 25 miles westward on the south edge of the lake you would come to a camp called Masango Safari Camp. If you travel south and west from there on the land you would come to the regions of Mola and Binga. The locals might compare those regions to our counties but they are controlled by local tribes. There are a number of villages in these regions that we have been able to help. Most of the villages have Christian churches and we try to stay in contact with a number of them frequently. Living in Zimbabwe in general is difficult and the people are very poor. It's not that there are not opportunities for wealth The government is very corrupt and there has been mismanagement of natural resources, thus the people are very poor. Living in the areas around Kariba and in the regions of Mola and Binga is also very difficult. The regions in Mola and Binga rely on the land to grow their food or rely on the lake for fishing. |
